Lahore: In a Build Copex organized by Mir Khalilur Rahman Memorial Society (MKRMS), Jang Group of Newspapers and others, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed said that suitable alterations were being made to laws of relevant institutions for the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme. Work on the housing units has already been initiated in Lodhran, Khanewal and Okara.
Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal said the government was locking financial models with the Bank of Punjab (BoP) and House Building Finance Corporation to offer interest free loans worth Rs500,000. Land worth 200,000 kanals has been identified for house construction.
The Build Copex also hosted Provincial Minister for Forests Muhammad Sibtain as a speaker at the seminar highlighting the 400,000 trees planted by the government with the help of Parks and Horticulture Authorities in 10 cities. The seminar held more talks on the importance of housing and allied industries.
