IESCO, stands for Islamabad Electric Supply Company, was established in 1998. It took over the responsibilities of the old Islamabad Area Electricity Board, which was part of WAPDA.
IESCO’s main job is to provide, distribute, and sell electricity in a specific area. The area goes from Attock to Jhelum and includes the region between the Indus and Neelum rivers in Kashmir.
IESCO directly provides electricity to 3.2 million customers. But the services go beyond that as they provide electricity to more than 25 million people in the region.

To ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, IESCO has organised its operations into a well-defined structure. The structure includes four circles, nineteen divisions, and one hundred and four subdivisions.
Each circle is overseen by a Superintending Engineer (SE), while Executive Engineers (XENs) manage the divisions. The subdivisions, on the other hand, are supervised by Sub Divisional Officers (SDOs).
Additionally, each division has a designated Customer Services Officer (CSO) responsible for addressing customer needs and concerns.
IESCO’s responsibilities extend to the management of the electricity distribution network across several administrative districts, namely Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, Jhelum, and the Federal Capital Islamabad.
From a technical standpoint, IESCO operates with a total of 108 Grid Stations, boasting a cumulative capacity of 5,224 MVA (Mega Volt-Ampere). The power is distributed through a network of 951 Feeders, which also includes distribution to AJK.

Unfortunately, IESCO subscribers can inquire about their bills using the 14-digit reference number, and not by the meter number.
Regrettably, bill inquiries cannot be conducted by providing your name or the address. The 14-digit reference number is the sole means of accessing your bill information.
If your bill was not received or you require a duplicate bill of the previous month, you can request one through the set platform.

To start the process of changing the name on your IESCO bill, you need to follow the same process as applying for a new connection. Visit your nearest IESCO office and submit a formal name change request.
If you’re interested in obtaining a new IESCO connection, you will need to complete and submit the “Application and Agreement” form, also known as the A&A form.
