With the new changes, the Dhabeji SEZ will spread over an area of 3,000 acres, boosting the economic activity in the province and create employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers.

The meeting held in the CM House was attended by Chief Secretary (CS) Mumtaz Shah, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister (PSCM) Sajid Jamal Abro, Sindh Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) Qazi Shahid Parvez, Investment Secretary Najam Shah, Public-Private Partnership Unit Director General Khalid Shaikh, Mines and Mineral Secretary Zulfiqar Shah, Works Secretary Imran Atta Soomro, Hyderabad Commissioner Abbas Baloch, Managing Director (MD), Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) Asadullah Khan, K-IV Project Director Asad Zamin and other concerned officials.

Prior to this, international tenders had been floated to invite investors to develop the SEZ. The work has been scheduled to start by April 20, 2020.
