How to Apply

Students must submit their applications through the Saudi universities’ official websites or online portals. Each university has specific eligibility criteria and application timelines, which should be reviewed on their respective websites for each discipline, course, and university.

These scholarships are available at various levels, including diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. programs, covering a wide range of disciplines such as political science, law, education, administration, economics, engineering, computer science, agriculture, Arabic/Islamic studies, and media sciences.

25 different universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offer scholarships. It’s important to note that each university is authorised to admit only 5% of international students, except for Princess Noor Binte Abdul Rahman University for Girls in Riyadh and Jamia Islamia Madinah Munawara. Princess Noor Binte Abdul Rahman University for Girls offers 8 per cent of total seats, while Jamia Islamia Madinah Munawara grants scholarships to 85 per cent of its total seats.

Once the applications are submitted, the universities will forward them to the Saudi Ministry of Education, which will decide on scholarship awards for eligible applicants.

Applicants are advised to share a copy of their submitted application with the official email address of the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh (pahrepriyad@mofa.gov.pk) to facilitate follow-up with the Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia, and the respective universities regarding the scholarship grants.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants must be citizens of Pakistan or Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
  2. Seventy-five per cent of the scholarships will be awarded to students from Pakistan. The remaining 25% will be granted to Pakistani students residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  3. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
  4. For Bachelor’s programs, applicants should be between 17 to 25 years old. For Master’s programs, they should be below 30 years old, and for Ph.D. programs, the age limit is less than 35 years at the closing date of the respective university’s application portal.
  5. Successful applicants will commence their respective programs in Saudi Arabia in September or October each year.
  6. Applicants must not hold any other scholarships while availing of the Saudi scholarship.
  7. Applicants should not have a criminal record.
  8. They should not have been suspended from any educational institution for disciplinary or any other valid reasons.
  9. Any additional requirements set by the respective Saudi University or the Saudi Government should also be met by the applicants.
