Islamabad: Efforts are underway in Islamabad as per the directives of the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to swiftly address illegal constructions and unauthorized usage of buildings within the city.
On Thursday, the Building Control Section, in collaboration with the Enforcement Directorate, partnered with the District Administration and Islamabad Police to take stringent action against non-conforming use of structures in Jinnah Garden, Phase One, resulting in the sealing of numerous buildings.
A total of 51 buildings in Jinnah Garden, Phase One, have been sealed due to non-conforming use, and owners have been served notices to rectify illegal constructions and unauthorized usage.
The crackdown on non-compliance is part of an ongoing anti-encroachment campaign aimed at transforming Islamabad into a city free from encroachments.
It is noteworthy that the CDA has been actively conducting operations against illegal encroachments, unauthorized constructions, and violations of building bylaws in the Federal Capital for the past several months.
