ISLAMABAD: In a meeting chaired by Member (Planning & Design) Dr Shahid Mehmood, the Design and Vetting Committee (DVC) of Capital Development Authority (CDA) deliberated upon eight project proposals in Islamabad, out of which four-building designs were approved.
One of the approved projects includes the construction of ground plus 24-storey building for the head office of Askari Bank Limited in the Blue Area of sector F-6.
The additional designs presented before the DVC included construction of lower ground plus ground plus three-storey building on plot no.3-D of Market G-7, ground plus three-storey building of Allied Bank Limited on plot no 10 of Park Enclave, and a Technology Park spreading over an area of around 14 acres at Park Road Chak Shahzad was approved in the committee meeting.
Director Architect-II, Director Urban Planning, Director (Building Control Section), along with Mr Salman Mansoor (architect), Mr Sohail Abbasi (architect), Mr Naveed Aslam (architect), and Mr Dawar Aftab (fire & safety expert) and other relevant officials of CDA were among the attendees of the meeting.
Due to defects in the designs of project proposals presented for plot no. 15 in the multi-professional housing society, plot no. 36 of I-8 Markaz, and design for apartment buildings of PHA in Sector I-16, the projects proposals were deferred by the committee.
