PESHAWAR: A historical building from the Sikh-era has been discovered during home renovation in Peshawar, believed to be more than a century old.
During the demolition of a house in the Barh area within the Sarki Gate of the city, the basement was unearthed.
The Department of Archaeology, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has taken possession of the building, and the discovery is being celebrated as a remarkable addition to the historic city of Peshawar.
To ensure the preservation of the structure, the Department of Archaeology has put a stop to construction at the site and sealed the house.
